Xiaomi 13 Pro: 5 years of updates, 3 new Android versions

Xiaomi promises that the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will receive 3 major updates of the Android operating system. So since they came with Android 13, they will hopefully make it to Android 16.

As for security patches, according to Xiaomi, users will be guaranteed five years of downloads.

This is a big increase over the previous series, as the Xiaomi 12 devices received a total of 3 major Android updates, but only 4 years of security patches.

These planned updates do not apply to the Xiaomi 13 Lite, and this is mainly due to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, which is older than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 that powers the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro.
